Nurse Lactation Specialist Position in a Dynamic Hospital Setting

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Nurse Lactation Consultant to join our team at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center. This is a part-time position that requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under supervision. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in counseling breast-feeding women and possess IBCLC certification.Job Responsibilities
As a Nurse Lactation Consultant, you will provide patient care and take brief patient histories and perform physical examinations under the lactation consultant's scope of care. You will develop treatment plans and explain them to patients, and perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor. To be considered for this position, you must have current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license. BLS required at hire. NRP required within 90 days of hire. IBCLC certification is required. You should also have graduate of an accredited nursing program, prior experience in counseling breast-feeding women, strong interpersonal skills, adept use of adult learning principles, and clinical experience in the hospital setting as a lactation consultant preferred, will consider new IBCLC's with recent clinical experience in Mom Baby or NICU. NICU background is preferred.About Us
