Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Social Studies Teacher to join our team at the Kingston K-14 School District. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Instruction
    • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners
    • Use a variety of instructional strategies to promote student understanding and retention
    • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Classroom Management
    • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and empathy
    • Establish clear expectations and consequences for student behavior
    • Manage classroom resources and materials effectively
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure student success
    • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate 9-12 Social Studies
    • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups
    • Knowledge of curriculum standards and assessment procedures
  • Experience
    • Experience teaching Social Studies at the high school level
    • Experience coaching or mentoring students

    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Social Studies or related field
    • Master's degree or higher preferred
