Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Part-Time Gifted Education Instructor to join our team at the Kingston K-14 School District. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for teaching and a commitment to providing high-quality education to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Instruction
    • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of gifted students
    • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
    • Provide individualized support to students as needed
  • Classroom Environment
    • Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic excellence and social growth
    • Develop and maintain a classroom management system that encourages student responsibility and respect
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment
    • Participate in grade-level and building team meetings to discuss student progress and share best practices
  • Professional Development
    • Stay current with best practices in gifted education and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities
    • Share expertise and knowledge with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of education
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate
    • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
    • Knowledge of informal and formal assessment procedures and curriculum standards
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong teaching and instructional skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
