School Nurse Substitute

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Substitute School Nurse to join our team at the Kingston K-14 School District.

The Substitute School Nurse will provide health services to students and staff, ensuring a safe and healthy school environment. The ideal candidate will be a licensed nurse with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Provide health services to students and staff, including first aid, emergency care, and health education.
• Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify potential health problems.
• Develop and implement Individualized Health Plans (IHPs) for students with special health needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other health professionals to ensure a comprehensive health education program.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records for students and staff.
• Report suspected cases of child abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in school health.

• Valid Missouri license to practice as a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
