About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sales Professional to join our team and drive business growth through large enterprise solutions. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key clients, and developing and executing strategic sales plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Sell complex, bundled offerings to high-potential customers at the C-level, promoting the Johnson Controls value proposition and providing solutions to customers' business and financial challenges.
  • Build and manage long-term customer relationships, including partnerships with key and target building owners, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Execute the sales process to cultivate and manage long-term relationships, qualify and close new sales and guaranteed savings opportunities, and position renewable service agreements as the foundation of managed account relationships.
  • Utilize sales tools to plan and document progress, increase business opportunity in accounts, and leverage monthly checkpoints to gain progressive commitments from customers.
  • Expand the depth and breadth of offerings within accounts, select account teams on key and target customers, and focus on a vertical market.
  • Act as the customer's advocate in interactions with the Johnson Controls organization, ensuring the customer obtains the best value from our offerings, and set appropriate customer expectations on product and service offerings.
  • Develop and implement area office solution sales and marketing plans and strategies, target new customers based on vertical market strategies, and keep management informed of progress and account status.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline required; MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of five to seven years of progressive field sales experience at the C-level.
  • Excellent initiative, interpersonal communications skills, and ability to influence the market at key levels.
  • Ability to travel 50%.
