About the Role:

The Director of Operations at Compass Group, North America will be responsible for streamlining departmental functions and enhancing operational efficiency under the guidance of the Regional Vice President.

This role involves leading finances, optimizing operational effectiveness, and fostering robust customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and evaluate departmental operations to align with strategic objectives, ensuring cost efficiency and staff effectiveness.
  • Oversee financial management including budgeting and cost-reduction initiatives, while also developing and implementing strategic plans for the department and university-wide initiatives.
  • Act as a primary liaison across departments to coordinate efforts, enhance alignment, and prevent operational conflicts.
  • Advise on and supervise compliance with processes and internal controls, participate in policy development, and stay updated with industry trends.
  • Represent the department in various committees and professional groups to promote success.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5-10 years of dynamic leadership experience in Plant Operations and Maintenance (POM), preferably in a college/university setting.
  • Proven ability to lead costs and improve operational efficiency in complex organizations.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, public speaking ability, and a commitment to high-quality customer service.
  • A flexible, transformational leader with a solid discernment.
