Position Overview

Under the supervision of the RN Nursing Supervisor and other nursing leadership, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care that promotes positive clinical outcomes and enhances patient and family satisfaction. The RN operates within the guidelines established by the State Nurse Practice Act and effectively delegates patient care tasks to LPNs and CNAs in accordance with their competencies. This role involves managing patient care through comprehensive nursing assessments and collaborating with the healthcare team, patients, and their families to create effective care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Assessment:

1.1. Gather, verify, synthesize, and document both objective and subjective patient data;

1.2. Prioritize data collection based on individual patient needs;

1.3. Analyze all collected data thoroughly;

1.4. Identify actual or potential patient issues based on data analysis;

Essential Skills:

1. Proficient physical assessment skills and a comprehensive understanding of nursing principles, including the ability to recognize symptoms and manage emergency situations.

2. Knowledge of pharmacology, including proper dosages and anticipated effects.

3. Capability to coordinate, delegate, and oversee nursing activities, solve problems, and make informed decisions as necessary.

4. Ability to foster a patient-centered care environment.

5. Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

6. Basic computer literacy.

7. Ensure quality care by adhering to established standards and providing patient education in person or via telephone, while complying with relevant guidelines (OSHA, FDA, HIPAA).

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current Registered Professional Nurse license.
  • Certification in CPR, ACLS, and BCLS is required.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to lift and position patients as needed.

Work Schedule:

6:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $74.00 per hour

Expected Weekly Hours: 40 – 50 hours
