As a Senior Technical Lead for Windows Server Services, you will have the opportunity to influence the solutions implemented within the U.S. Navy's network by spearheading engineering and design initiatives. Your expertise will be vital in not only designing and developing these systems but also in advancing them with cutting-edge technology solutions. This position allows you to expand your skill set into areas such as cloud computing and IT infrastructure.

The Technical Lead will provide expert guidance in IT systems engineering, concentrating on the Windows Server Services domain. You will apply your extensive industry experience and technical management skills to support the Navy's Enterprise Engineering Team, acting as a key resource across various Windows Server Services functions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing systems that ensure optimal performance and availability for server, storage, and data backup or restoration.
  • Integrating the needs of operational units with server infrastructure and storage capabilities.
  • Maintaining and enhancing server and storage capacity and capabilities.
  • Planning and executing the installation of both physical and virtual servers while anticipating future system requirements through cloud technologies and the latest server solutions.
  • Researching technological innovations to identify potential applications for program needs.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in engineering, implementing, and managing Windows Server solutions within an enterprise network.
  • 10+ years of experience in developing Active Directory-based identity management and authentication solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience in architecting and configuring Microsoft Windows server and end-user solutions, including antivirus and system administration tools.
  • 5+ years of experience in creating detailed engineering standards and documentation for Windows Server.
  • Experience in developing automated deployment processes using scripting languages such as PowerShell, VBScript, or Python.
  • Familiarity with network and security engineering, including the development and troubleshooting of enterprise network security systems.
  • Experience collaborating with project managers to ensure project timelines and deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Relevant cloud infrastructure certifications, such as Azure Administrator Associate or Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with VMware virtual server environments.
  • Knowledge of the Navy's IT Modernization Cloud initiative.
  • Understanding of Azure-based cloud solutions.
  • Familiarity with networking technologies and managing Windows systems.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.

Compensation:

Compensation is determined by various factors, including location, education, skills, and experience. The projected salary range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 annually.
