Position Summary:
The Community Engagement Coordinator (Member Outreach Officer I/II) acts as a representative of the organization within the local community, promoting the advantages of membership with Educational Federal Credit Union. This role is crucial for supporting the strategic expansion of the organization and seeking opportunities for the continuous acquisition of new members, loans, and deposit accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Acts as an ambassador for designated local schools and branches, promoting the benefits of Educational Federal Credit Union membership through participation in external events at schools, colleges, associations, and community organizations to generate new business.
2. Works collaboratively under the guidance of the Member Outreach Director and Manager to enhance brand visibility and create more business development opportunities.
3. Organizes schedules to ensure that all tasks, relationship objectives, outbound communications, activities, and events are accurately recorded in a contact management system daily.
4. Maintains documentation and generates monthly reports on community outreach efforts, business partnerships, engagement initiatives, and the outcomes of these activities.
5. Develops a database of potential prospects for new sponsorships and schedules business development meetings to broaden the membership base.
6. Actively engages in community festivals, fairs, and trade shows to promote new business for the Credit Union.
7. Assists with membership and lending applications during field events to contribute to the achievement of organizational growth targets.
8. Aids in the setup and execution of promotional events and exhibits at school and community gatherings.
9. Supports the rollout of retail marketing campaigns across assigned locations and events, including managing outbound promotions via various channels.
10. Participates in team meetings to exchange best practices in membership marketing while serving as a knowledgeable mentor to colleagues, staff, and students.
11. Assists the Member Outreach Director and Manager along with the Financial Education team in developing educational materials for the High School Branch Program.
12. Aids in creating member onboarding strategies and other initiatives to enhance member engagement.
13. Must be willing to travel across regions to provide staffing support as needed.
14. Comfortable speaking in front of both small and large audiences, including classroom presentations and community events.
15. Availability for weekend and evening hours, as well as travel, may be necessary.
16. Collaborates with Retail and Lending teams to develop targeted promotional campaigns.
17. Remains informed about local community trends and economic developments. Tracks and evaluates event participation results and provides recommendations to optimize future investments in events, sponsorships, philanthropic efforts, and donations.
18. Facilitates the Summer Youth Internship Program and coordinates presentations for students and parents.
19. Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
1. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
2. A positive, dynamic leader with a strong ability to build relationships and network effectively.
3. Strong organizational, prioritization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
4. A team player capable of interacting with all levels of staff within the organization.
5. Proficient in PC applications, including Microsoft Office.
6. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
