Description
The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) is seeking a Family Medical Leave (FML) Administrator to enhance our Human Resources department by developing a partially centralized management process for family and medical leave. We are in search of a compassionate individual who can balance employee needs with the necessity of making informed decisions regarding leave benefits while adhering to relevant laws and regulations. This role is ideal for someone interested in shaping processes for effective leave management and assisting employees through the complexities of medical leave.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert in managing and administering processes related to Family and Medical Leave, including specialized leave types such as PFML, FMLA, FAMLI, STD, and LTD.
- Engage with employees to assess their needs and guide them through the leave process, ensuring compliance with both state and federal regulations.
- Utilize HRIS systems to reconcile leave records, coordinate return-to-work arrangements, and assist with payroll corrections as necessary.
- Facilitate communication with employees regarding their leave status, eligibility, and any job protections that apply.
- Provide support to HR teams in resolving leave-related disputes while ensuring adherence to applicable laws and policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent HR experience in leave administration.
- A minimum of two years of experience in leave administration, particularly with Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) or other regulated employee leave.
