Rise Health Services Inc. is a healthcare provider focused on delivering comprehensive primary care. We are currently seeking a full-time Healthcare Support Specialist.

In this position, you will assist in the assessment and treatment of patients under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Responsibilities include interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and accurately documenting information in patient records. You may also be tasked with drawing blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing. Additionally, you will prepare examination rooms for patient assessments and maintain thorough electronic health records. Your role will also involve answering phone calls, screening inquiries, relaying messages, and welcoming visitors, all while fostering a collaborative and patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to patients by offering information and support
  • Greet patients in person or over the phone
  • Confirm patient details by interviewing them, recording medical histories, and clarifying the purpose of their visit
  • Prepare patients for their healthcare appointments by guiding them to the examination area
  • Conduct preliminary health assessments, including taking vital signs and summarizing patient histories
  • Ensure patient confidentiality by managing medical records securely and adhering to legal regulations
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following established protocols
  • Enhance professional knowledge through ongoing education and engagement with industry literature
  • Contribute to the practice's reputation by taking initiative and exploring ways to improve service delivery
  • Document patient examinations, treatments, and test results accurately
  • Safeguard patient information and uphold operational confidentiality
  • Manage medical supplies and perform routine maintenance on equipment
  • Communicate effectively with insurance providers and other healthcare facilities
  • Perform phlebotomy, take vital signs, and execute other clinical tasks as required
  • Maintain electronic medical records with precision
  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by healthcare practitioners or management

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Healthcare Support Specialist
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
