Key Responsibilities

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring peak performance, security, and reliability. This position will lead initiatives to transition on-premise systems to Azure, manage Active Directory environments, and bolster our enterprise networking capabilities.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Azure Cloud Oversight: Manage the deployment, administration, and scaling of Azure cloud resources to support business applications and services.
  • Migrations from On-Premise: Spearhead the transition of on-premise systems and applications to the Azure cloud, ensuring minimal disruption and data integrity.
  • Active Directory Management: Oversee and maintain Active Directory, including user account management, group policies, and domain services.
  • Enterprise Networking Solutions: Design, implement, and manage networking solutions that ensure robust connectivity, security, and performance.
  • System Monitoring and Maintenance: Establish and maintain monitoring solutions to ensure system health and performance, promptly addressing any issues that arise.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure that all systems and networks are secure and adhere to relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Automation Development: Create and implement automation scripts and tools to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to align infrastructure strategies with organizational objectives.

Qualifications

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a SysOps Engineer or in a similar capacity, with a strong emphasis on Azure cloud.
  • Extensive experience in migrating on-premise systems to cloud environments.
  • Proficient in managing and configuring Active Directory.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking principles, including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Solid understanding of security best practices and data protection regulations.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
