Job Summary

The Employee Health Nurse plays a vital role in ensuring the health and wellness of employees at Universal Health Services. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and providing employee health services to all employees, students, and volunteers as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides staff education related to Employee Health and supports staff with any PPE education or needs.
  • Performs pre-employment testing.
  • Administers drug screens when needed.
  • Administers and keeps all employee immunizations/TB tests current.
  • Assists in gathering data for Infection Control reports.
  • Plans, organizes, and provides employee health services to all employees/students/volunteers as necessary.
  • Monitors and evaluates compliance with the employee health program requirements and notifies individuals and leadership when there is a deficiency.
  • Maintains employee health records.
  • Manages Workman's Compensation Cases.
Requirements
  • Current Texas RN license required.
  • Current BLS required.
  • Previous hospital experience required.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, CMS, and JCAHO preferred.
  • Computer skills to include typing skills and knowledge of programs such as Word and Excel.
