About the Role

The Employee Health Nurse is a critical member of our healthcare team, responsible for planning, organizing, and providing employee health services to all employees, students, and volunteers as necessary. This role serves as a resource person to any hospital department, assisting in assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating all yearly requirements for employees to be in compliance with OSHA, CMS, and JCAHO.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Education and Support: Provides education to staff related to Employee Health and supports staff with any PPE education or needs.
  • Pre-Employment Testing: Performs pre-employment testing.
  • Drug Screening: Administers drug screens when needed.
  • Immunizations and TB Testing: Administers and keeps all employee immunizations and TB tests current.
  • Infection Control Reports: Assists in gathering data for Infection Control reports.
  • Employee Health Services: Plans, organizes, and provides employee health services to all employees, students, and volunteers as necessary.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitors and evaluates compliance with the employee health program requirements and notifies individuals and leadership when there is a deficiency.
  • Record Keeping: Maintains employee health records.
  • Workman's Compensation Cases: Manages Workman's Compensation Cases.
