Job Summary

Valor Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and providing preventive and therapeutic treatment of Veteran patient primary care needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnosis and Treatment
    • Diagnose and treat diseases and injuries in accordance with established medical protocols.
    • Develop and implement patient management plans to ensure continuity of care.
  • Patient Assessment and Education
    • Examine patients for symptoms of disorders and provide education on medication use and health maintenance.
    • Counsel patients on mental health and provide routine health maintenance.
  • Documentation and Communication
    • Document medical records within 24 hours of each patient encounter.
    • Respond to patient requests, alerts, consults, orders, lab results, and diagnostic studies in a timely manner.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork
    • Collaborate with supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
    • Participate in clinic outreach events and support patient enrollment and retention initiatives.
  • Professional Development
    • Meet all VA and company training requirements.
    • Comply with compliance requirements of various oversight entities.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school and nurse practitioner program (MSN required)
  • Certification by professional organizations
  • Minimum one-year clinical experience (three years preferred) as a CRNP in primary or ambulatory care settings
  • Credentialing and good standing through the Veterans Health Administration (VA)
  • Maintains valid, unrestricted state license and DEA registration
  • Current Basic Life Support and ACLS certification
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, strong computer skills
  • Energetic and optimistic demeanor, service mentality
  • Safety sensitive position
