Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Personal Financial Counselor III to join our team at VetJobs. As a key member of our organization, you will provide expert financial guidance and support to military service members and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive personal financial counseling services to military service members and their families.
  • Develop and deliver financial education programs, workshops, and briefings to promote financial stability and readiness.
  • Collaborate with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure program effectiveness and meet installation needs.
  • Manage duty to warn situations according to Department of Defense protocol.
  • Communicate with leadership and participate in regular individual and group supervision.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; may consider applicants with an associate degree plus 4 years' experience or a high school diploma plus 6 years' experience.
  • 5+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
  • Hold one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
