The Position: We are seeking a Technology Engineer -- Vision and Adhesive Process Technologies.

The Technology Engineer will play a crucial role in the initial setup of various process technologies, including Vision, Dispensing, Laser, and Adhesive/Joining within robotic automation applications. This position involves overseeing the integration from the Proposal phase through to the project Execution phase, which encompasses design, procurement, manufacturing, in-house integration, and installation at client sites, leading up to final acceptance. The Technology Engineer will collaborate closely with the Comau project team, which includes members from Engineering, Project and Site Management, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing, as well as representatives from the customer’s project team. Travel may be required as part of the Commissioning Site team.

Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will act as a networker and innovative thinker while executing the following:
  • Validation of pioneering solutions,
  • Identifying opportunities and proposing changes to enhance productivity, minimize costs, eliminate waste, and improve overall business performance,
  • Defining the hardware and software configurations for integrated machines (including electrical and fluidic interfaces),
  • Directing the integration and installation of Comau Systems at customer locations, collaborating with the team to resolve on-site issues,
  • Programming and fine-tuning technology parameters to achieve the desired product quality,
  • Serving as the technical liaison to customers,
  • Providing training to customers to ensure proper maintenance practices,
  • Maintaining strong relationships with customers through prompt and effective feedback,
  • Offering After Sales support,
  • Participating in the Handover phase with Engineering and assisting in identifying new project risks,
  • Focusing on Time and Cost Management,
  • Configuring, starting up, and debugging systems, including Networks, I/O, and Communication,
  • Configuring auxiliary equipment,
  • Validating and debugging Safety features (if applicable),
  • Ensuring the entire system functions correctly while adhering to cycle-time and product quality standards,
  • Creating documentation that complies with customer commissioning standards.

Requirements:
This role is best suited for candidates who meet the following qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing industrial automation systems, specifically in commissioning Vision, Dispensing, Joining, and Robot Automation process technologies.
  • A solid understanding of Vision, Dispensing, Laser, adhesive joining systems, and Robot Automation technologies.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree or Certification in Engineering or Technology
  • Expertise in Vision and Adhesive technologies within Robot Automation applications.
