Data Center Construction Manager - MEP Systems Expert

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Construction Manager with expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems to join our dynamic team at Weeks Group, LLC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to create and implement comprehensive construction plans for data centers.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Conduct routine site inspections to track progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet key milestones and deliverables.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment by working with vendors and suppliers.
  • Review and prepare technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the construction team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for project challenges.
  • Promote a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and effective communication among all stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (preferred).
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on data centers.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including design principles, installation methods, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency with project management software such as Primavera P6, Procore, or Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience collaborating with MEP subcontractors and vendors.
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and standards relevant to data center construction.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
