Job Summary:

Trinity Health is seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team in the Inpatient Rehab Unit. As a Recreational Therapist, you will work with patients and their families to develop and implement individualized leisure plans that promote healing, recovery, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate patients' leisure needs and develop personalized plans to promote engagement and participation in recreational activities

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients

Facilitate group and individual recreational activities, including arts and crafts, music therapy, and outdoor activities

Provide education and support to patients and families on leisure options and resources after discharge

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and progress

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or related field

Certification in Recreational Therapy (CTRS) or related field

Experience working with inpatient rehab populations and developing leisure plans

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
