Senior Compiler Security Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Compiler Security Manager to lead our team of compiler and static analysis engineers. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a roadmap to build tools that continually improve the security of Apple's operating system software stack.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing a team of innovative static analysis and compiler engineers to create developer tools with millions of users
  • Developing and executing on a roadmap to build tools to continually improve the security of Apple's operating system software stack, including user space, kernel, and firmware environments
  • Working with cross-functional teams to design, plan, and deliver high-quality software features for our tools and operating systems
  • Strengthening the team by hiring and developing top engineering talent

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience leading a technical team and collaborating across organizational boundaries
  • Experience with compiler development or with development of program analysis or refactoring tools
  • An interest in working on bug-finding tools and specifically static analysis for C, C++, Objective-C, and Swift
  • Experience hiring engineers and technical leaders and helping grow their careers
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent software engineering, testing, and debugging ability

Education & Experience:

B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Additional Requirements:

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $190,700 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
