Job Description

At Apple, we're looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our Cloud Security team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining secure and performant systems-level software.

As a Cloud Security Software Engineering Manager, you'll work closely with our engineering teams to design, develop, and deploy software that operates at scale and is foundational for our most important services, such as iCloud.

You'll have a unique opportunity to participate in delivering some of the world's largest-scale cloud services and products, and contribute to the development of next-generation technologies supporting internet services.

We're seeking an experienced software engineering manager with a strong background in systems languages such as C, C++, Go, Java, Swift, and/or Rust, and familiarity with Unix-type operating systems and concepts.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and build a highly skilled team providing a layer underpinning consumer-facing applications, services, and products at Apple.
  • Ensure the team is on track, meeting set goals, and making adjustments based on data as needed.
  • Drive and contribute to key technical and strategic decisions as they relate to the team's work.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of proven experience in software engineering management.
  • Strong understanding of Java, Swift, Rust, Go, and/or C/C++.
  • Depth of networking experience.
  • Familiarity with design principles surrounding distributed systems.
  • Expertise with software security primitives and performance concepts, certificates, and Identity.
  • Demonstrated skill and expertise with Unix-type operating systems.
  • Skilled in clear communication.
  • Strong team leadership experience.

We offer a competitive salary range of $190,700 to $329,600, and a range of benefits including comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, and reimbursement for certain educational expenses.
