Job Summary

This is a full-time position with the Department of Corrections. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining security and safety within the facility, enforcing policies and procedures, and ensuring the well-being of offenders and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce security protocols and institutional post orders to maintain a safe and secure environment
  • Monitor and control access to the facility and restricted areas
  • Participate in the criminal justice system regarding treatment of inmates and/or incarcerated individuals
  • Conduct searches and inspections to maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Communicate effectively with offenders, employees, and the public
  • Work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid Driver's License
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass a background investigation and undergo a drug screening
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergency situations
