About the Position

The Public Art Project Manager at the San Francisco Arts Commission is responsible for overseeing the implementation of public art projects in the City. As a key member of the Public Art Program team, you will work closely with artists, stakeholders, and city agencies to develop and implement projects that enhance the urban environment and promote cultural diversity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets;
  • Coordinate with artists, stakeholders, and city agencies to ensure successful project execution;
  • Manage project contracts, agreements, and permits;
  • Oversee project design development and installation;
  • Ensure compliance with city regulations, policies, and procedures;
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on project progress and outcomes;
  • Collaborate with the Public Art Program Director and other staff members to achieve program goals and objectives.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as arts administration, public policy, or urban planning;
  • At least one year of full-time equivalent experience in project management, arts administration, or a related field;
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications;
  • Knowledge of city regulations, policies, and procedures related to public art projects.

Benefits

The San Francisco Arts Commission offers a competitive salary range of $75,000 - $95,000 per year, depending on experience. This position also comes with a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
