About the Role
Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Eichenlaub & May in Lancaster. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and support services.

Job Summary
This full-time position involves preparing patients for visits, administering injections, and providing clinical advice via phone or electronic correspondence. You will also assist providers with procedures, maintain accurate records, and participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and quality of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for visits by using appropriate rooming standards tools.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by the provider, following federal and state regulations.
  • Assist providers with various procedures, minor surgeries, and exams as designated.
  • Perform Point of Care Testing, including but not limited to hearing, flu, urine, and strep tests.
  • Removes sutures and changes dressings on wounds as necessary.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, medical assistant certification from an accredited institution, and CPR certification. One to two years of medical assisting experience in a primary or specialty care physician's office is preferred. Additionally, you must be able to communicate effectively, work independently, and maintain confidentiality in handling patient information.
