As a key contributor, you will report directly to the Technical Certification Manager and play a significant role in our mission to provide effective thermal shipping solutions for the pharmaceutical cold chain sector. CSafe operates in over 70 locations globally, ensuring the availability of our products while adhering to our founders' vision of delivering life-enhancing pharmaceuticals to patients worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a culture that champions the adoption and application of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive improvements in lean manufacturing and service processes.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of current lean manufacturing techniques.
- Establish priorities, objectives, and metrics for process enhancement projects, ensuring effective monitoring and control.
- Analyze root causes of product or component non-conformance and collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to implement corrective actions.
- Provide insights to Design Engineers to ensure product designs are optimized for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA).
- Engage in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to guarantee robust product design.
- Oversee the creation and upkeep of manufacturing, maintenance, and service instructions for Active Air Cargo Products and cell and gene products.
- Design and implement production aids and fixtures to support manufacturing processes and ensure consistency in volume production.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related support function.
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Demonstrated experience in applying Six Sigma and lean manufacturing tools in a production environment.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities, including methodologies such as Six Sigma and Taguchi.
- Solid understanding of MRP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to establish, maintain, and manage project timelines and plans.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to thoroughness.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to engage with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Familiarity with quality tools such as DFMA and FMEA.
- Proficient in utilizing various hand tools for the development and adjustment of parts during prototyping.
- Adaptable to changing priorities based on business requirements.
- Possess strong analytical and reasoning skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage oneself effectively.
- A collaborative team player.
