Job Summary:
New England Medical Group Partners, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will be responsible for providing individual and group counseling services to patients with mental health and substance use disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake assessments, group and individual services, collateral and family contact, treatment planning, and case management to ensure patients receive a cohesive treatment experience.
- Practice within the fiscal, ethical, and legal standards, core values, and mission statement of New England Medical Group Partners, LLC.
- Provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and skills training.
- Ensure orientation of new clients upon admission.
- Obtain history and presenting information as part of the intake process.
- Collaboratively develop and update individualized treatment plans.
- Utilize patient-centered therapeutic interventions and rapport-building practices, including motivational interviewing techniques to enhance patient outcomes.
- Document treatment interventions, contacts, treatment plans, and sessions.
- Maintain individual caseload to actively engage patients in the program.
- Coordinate comprehensive discharge plans to ensure seamless community reintegration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health, Psychology, or a related field.
- LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, LADC preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a behavioral healthcare setting serving culturally diverse populations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to work with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and demands.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of diverse cultures and gender-specific issues to incorporate needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into the clinical environment.
- Understands the need for confidentiality and always maintains appropriate boundaries.
- Must have strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of case management within the mental health field.
