Job Summary

Alyeska Resort is seeking a skilled Lift Maintenance Electrical Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing troubleshooting, scheduled and unscheduled electrical/mechanical maintenance on all aspects of ski lifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of lift-related industrial controls, including PLCs and drives.
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, and annual inspections to ensure the safe operation of ski lifts.
  • Assist in the repair, rewiring, and upgrading of electrical lift components.
  • Collaborate with the lift maintenance manager and other team members to ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations.
  • Participate in lift emergency procedures and time-dependent repairs.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of lift electrical and operational systems.
  • Communicate effectively with the lift maintenance manager, mountain operations manager, and other crew members on all lift electrical and maintenance matters.
Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in lift operation, lift electrical, lift maintenance, and/or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and in a team environment.
  • Valid Alaska driver's license.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, consult manuals, and trade publications.
  • Ability to work outside, at heights, and in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to operate snowmobiles, ATVs, and heavy equipment.
