Job Title: Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at The Bachrach Group. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our residential properties, ensuring that they are safe and well-maintained for our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including painting, drywall repair, trash removal, and mechanical repairs
  • Conduct light system repairs on electrical, plumbing, hot water heaters, HVAC systems, and appliances
  • Perform daily grounds maintenance, including picking up and disposing of trash, pet defecation removal, and maintaining pet waste stations
  • Take part in the on-call rotation, as scheduled
  • Ensure market-ready apartments, common areas, and amenities are clean and maintained daily to our quality standards
  • Monitor supplies and maintain equipment
  • Ensure the maintenance shop/custodial area is clean, organized, and professionally presentable at all times
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of residential maintenance experience required
  • 1-2 years of painting and drywall repairs preferred
  • Basic mechanical aptitude required
  • Able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds, climb ladders, and climb multiple flights of stairs at a time
  • Able to use appliance dolly, push/pull up to 200 pounds
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Able to be on feet constantly for entire work shift, if applicable
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliances, and building systems
  • Experienced in Microsoft products preferred (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of English; detail-oriented, well-organized
  • Must agree to a criminal background check and sign an agreement for voluntary drug testing
  • Must have access to personal vehicle and/or reliable transportation, at all times
  • US driver's license, vehicle, and vehicle insurance must be valid and unexpired at all times
