Transportation Planning and Design

Michael Baker International is seeking a skilled Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduler to join our team. As a CPM Scheduler, you will play a critical role in planning, designing, and managing transportation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage complex project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Collaborate with project managers and teams to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Analyze project data to identify potential delays and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and update detailed project schedules, including submission dates, review times, and critical path items.
  • Develop and implement schedule updates and variance reports in accordance with client requirements.
  • Manage attention to critical and near-critical path activities on behalf of the client.
  • Assess contractor monthly schedule updates and support analysis of potential delay claims and change orders.
  • Perform time impact analyses (TIA) and forensic delay analyses to determine the extent of potential delays and contractor claims.
  • Identify and measure scope change impact on a project.
  • Identify and support recovery and/or risk mitigation plans.
  • Recommending CPM schedule-based scope change and delay recovery solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and managing complex project schedules.
  • Successful experience in the above responsibilities of this position.
  • Experience managing/leading cross-functional teams.
  • Field construction and/or design experience and an ability to conceptualize and build design phase/pre-construction conceptual project schedules from the design team drawings/specs and cost estimates.
  • Experience working within large and challenging client programs with one or more project teams.
  • Experience in preparing high-level project reports and documentation.

Compensation

The approximate compensation range for this position is $86,648 TO $125,114. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
