Position Overview:

As a Phlebotomy Technician, you will be responsible for performing essential blood collection procedures and specimen management in a healthcare setting. This role is vital in ensuring accurate diagnostic testing and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute phlebotomy techniques including venous, capillary, and heel punctures.
2. Collect various specimens such as throat swabs, nasal samples, and urine.
3. Prepare and organize necessary equipment including tourniquets, needles, and blood collection devices on the work tray, adhering to specific test requirements.
4. Maintain accurate tracking of collected specimens to ensure proper handling and processing.
5. Participate in cross-training for additional roles within the medical office.
6. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills are essential.
