Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at MCR Hotels. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in our hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Housekeeping Team: Supervise and direct housekeeping and laundry personnel to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and preparation of guest rooms and public areas.
  • Inspect and Monitor Rooms: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet our high standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Manage Room Status: Balance and clear the room status nightly, comparing the PM Housekeeping Report with the computer's room status report and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, including engineering and maintenance, to ensure that all guest requests are met and that the hotel is running smoothly.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Provide training and development opportunities to housekeeping staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Maintain Quality Standards: Ensure that all housekeeping and laundry personnel are aware of and adhere to our quality standards and procedures.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Oversee the management of housekeeping and laundry supplies, including ordering and inventory control.
  • Perform Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a hotel housekeeping or related field.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, staff, and other departments.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to anticipate, prevent, identify, and solve problems as necessary.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Basic Arithmetic Functions: Basic arithmetic functions, including ability to balance and clear room status.
  • Proficiency in Technology: Proficiency in Windows operating systems, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
