Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Oversee all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and research.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve revenue growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Provide tax and accounting guidance and support to the team.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Oversee general ledger functions to assure accuracy, timeliness, and conformity with professional accounting standards and best practices in accordance with GAAP.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Proven leadership and management experience.
  • Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, Thomson Reuters, and SurePayroll.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Additional Requirements:
  • Familiarity with Texas state tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
