Job Overview

The Creative UX Design Director will be responsible for leading the UX design strategy and execution across all product lines. This role demands a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, a passion for creating intuitive and compelling user experiences, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure design standards are met throughout the product development process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute UX Design Strategy: Align the UX design strategy with the company's overall product vision and business goals, driving the creation of innovative digital experiences.
  • Lead and Mentor UX Design Team: Foster a collaborative and innovative environment, leading and mentoring a team of UX designers, researchers, and other design professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
  • Advocate for User-Centered Design: Champion user-centered design principles across the organization, ensuring that user experience is prioritized in product development.
  • Oversee UI Design: Ensure that user interfaces are aesthetically pleasing, functional, and aligned with the brand, driving the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and user flows.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design practices, applying this knowledge to improve the company's products.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with product managers, engineers, marketing, and other stakeholders to integrate UX design into the product development process.
  • Present Design Concepts: Present design concepts and user experience strategies to senior leadership, gathering feedback and iterating on designs as needed.
  • Ensure Clear Communication: Ensure clear communication and alignment between the design team and other departments.
  • Oversee User Research: Oversee user research activities, including usability testing, user interviews, and surveys, to gather insights that inform design decisions.
  • Analyze Research Data: Analyze research data to identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities for product improvement.
  • Implement User Feedback Process: Implement and maintain a process for continuous user feedback and iteration.
  • Manage UX Design Team: Manage, mentor, and develop the UX design team, providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Allocate Resources Effectively: Allocate resources effectively to ensure that all design projects are completed on time and within scope.
  • Foster Collaborative Culture: Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and excellence within the design team.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design or a related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in UX design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven Track Record: Proven track record of designing and delivering successful digital products.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team of designers.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and strategies to various stakeholders.
  • Design Skills: Strong proficiency in Figma.
  • Ownership Mindset: Proactive, ownership mindset with the ability to drive initiatives to completion.
  • SaaS Experience: Experience in SaaS.
  • Front-End Development: Familiarity with front-end development and technical constraints.
