RN - ER/Med Floor - Big Sky, MT

The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the healthcare team, providing patient and family education and assessing the needs of patients to initiate appropriate interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation, analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues, and identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation.
Develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes, implements the identified plan of care, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
Requirements:
Current Montana licensure (Registered Nurse), American Heart Association BLS, and American Heart Association ACLS within 4 months of hire. National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification within 6 months of hire, and American Heart Association PALS or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course certification within 1 year of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course certification, and 1 year of emergency nursing or critical care experience.
Work Environment:
The role may involve working for extended periods, requiring sitting, walking, or standing for eight or more hours daily. The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts. On-call work may be required to respond to organizational and patient needs promptly.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting, pushing, and pulling: support 50 pounds of weight, lift 50 pounds, and carry equipment/supplies. Use upper body strength for CPR, physically restrain patients, etc. Extended hours: the role may involve working for extended periods, requiring sitting, walking, or standing for eight or more hours daily. Flexible schedule: the position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts. On-call availability: on-call work may be required to respond to organizational and patient needs promptly. Effective communication: proficient in effective communication, both in person and through various technologies. Handling challenging situations: the role may involve dealing with upset individuals, requiring the ability to de-escalate situations and work effectively with frustrated patients or families. Repetitive tasks: ability to perform repetitive tasks as needed to fulfill job responsibilities. Exposures: tasks may involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, various chemicals and medications, infectious diseases, and emotionally challenging situations.
