Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Access Control Specialist to join our team at Big Sky Resort. As an Access Control Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our lift access systems and providing exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to phone and radio calls from the Ticket Checking team to resolve access issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Diagnose and resolve ticket or pass issues, and maintain accurate records of all interactions.
  • Monitor gate activity and proactively address any potential pass errors to prevent issues from arising.
  • Run reports to identify potential pass errors and take corrective action as needed.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of all lift access products, including how to sell and return them, and how they function in the RTP sales platform.
  • Stay up-to-date on Big Sky Mountain Sports products, mountain terrain, area services, activities, and events.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests via phone and email, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Stay informed about daily snow and grooming reports to ensure accurate information is provided to guests.
  • Perform a few hours of outdoor work each week, as needed.
  • Bring tickets that require reprints to the lift.
  • Be flexible and willing to adapt to changing circumstances, and maintain a fun, friendly, and professional attitude with all guests.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working directly with guests is essential, as you will be interacting with a variety of guests and resolving issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to remain composed and professional during challenging interactions is crucial.
  • Previous employment at a resort, cash handling, and point-of-sale experience are preferred.
  • A novice level understanding of Microsoft Excel is required.
