Job Summary

Novant Health is seeking a skilled Nursing Resource Team RN to join our team. As a member of our market-based nursing resource team, you will be assigned to varying units during your shift to ensure that patient care needs are met within the assigned facility. This role requires experience, proficiency, and a strong commitment to professional nursing standards and inter-professional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

As a Nursing Resource Team RN, you will be responsible for providing safe, continuous quality patient care in a variety of settings. You will possess the skills, competency, and qualifications to work in at least 3 facilities within a defined market. You will demonstrate independence, rule consciousness, social boldness, and change readiness. You will exhibit a strong commitment to professional nursing standards and inter-professional collaboration. You will serve as a reliable consultant and mentor to clinical nurses and share lessons across teams to advance the practice of nursing throughout Novant Health.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a High School Diploma or GED, a 2 Year / Associate Degree, and a 4 Year / Bachelors Degree preferred. You will also need to have consecutive year experience within a defined specialty and current compact licensure in the appropriate state. You will need to have NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units. You will also need to have specialty certification preferred and the ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing. You will need to have the ability to interpret information and identify each patient's requirement for care relative to their age specific need. You will need to have the knowledge and skill necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age. You will also need to have successfully completed the Cardiac dysrhythmia test or Cardiac dysrhythmia course within 3 months of hire and NIH Stroke Scale certification upon hire.
