Overview

At Novant Health, we are seeking experienced and skilled nurses to join our Professional Nursing Resource Team (PNRT) as Local Resource Team RNs. As a member of this team, you will provide safe, continuous quality patient care in a variety of settings, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in a variety of settings, including medical/surgical, telemetry, critical/intermediate care, behavioral health, emergency, and women's services.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
  • Participate in market-based nursing resource teams, working in at least three facilities within a defined market.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest nursing practices, technologies, and workflows.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. BSN, preferred.
  • Experience: Consecutive year within defined specialty (Med Surg, Tele, Critical Care, ED or Womens), required.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Current compact licensure in appropriate state, required.
    • NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
    • Specialty Certification, preferred.
  • Additional Skills Required:
    • Appropriate customer service, effective and appropriate customer relations, verbal and non-verbal communication techniques, interpersonal relationship skills, conflict resolution, critical thinking and computer literacy.
    • Successfully complete the Cardiac dysrhythmia test or Cardiac dysrhythmia course within 3 months of hire. NIH Stroke Scale certification upon hire.
  • Additional Skills Preferred: Specialty certification within two years of hire.
