Behavioral Health Technician

A Behavioral Health Technician at The Transition House Inc. plays a vital role in supporting clients with various behavioral problems, such as substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder, mental instability, and physical and emotional abuse. This position requires a strong understanding of individual treatment plans, effective documentation of client behavior, and provision of a safe and supportive environment for clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Observe and record client-controlled medications
• Assist in daily activities
• Maintain safety for clients and staff
• Document daily activities in Electronic Health Records
• Learn and implement policies and procedures of the agency
Requirements
• Patient, dedicated, and reliable individual with a strong desire to support clients in recovery
• At least 6 months of experience working with individuals in recovery or with behavioral health issues
• Ability to work under stress in a dynamic environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks
