Job Title: Counselor II-Bilingual

Interim, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Counselor II-Bilingual to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. As a key member of our team, you will provide crisis care, case management, and individual rehabilitation activities to clients and their families in Salinas and South Monterey County.

Job Summary:

The Counselor II-Bilingual will be responsible for managing and leading the ACT team in providing comprehensive services to clients with serious mental illness and serious functioning impairments. This includes crisis support services, case management, counseling, skills building, resources, and referrals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-call services and respond to crisis situations
  • Deliver case management services and individual rehabilitation activities to clients and their families
  • Assist clients in attaining community stability and reaching their recovery and rehabilitation goals
  • Reduce mental health and substance abuse symptoms to reduce utilization of involuntary care and emergency rooms
  • Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, wellness-centered approach to consumers' recovery
  • Collaborate and coordinate services with multidisciplinary staff team members, Psychiatrist, Nurses, Family Partner, Peer, and other staff to provide effective services
Requirements:
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of one to two years of experience in a mental health field
  • Valid California driver's license; auto in safe operating condition; auto liability insurance; good driving record; criminal record clearance; proof of authorization to work in the United States as required by Immigration and Reform Act of 1986
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mental health or related field
  • Proficient in Outlook email correspondence and computer software
  • Knowledge of community resources
