Job Overview:The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of the medical center. This includes ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting, cost accounting, and efficient revenue cycle management to support the hospital's mission of providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:- Manage and oversee financial operations of the medical center
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and budgeting
- Develop and implement cost accounting and revenue cycle management strategies
- Collaborate with the Finance Director to achieve financial goals and objectives
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance management, with a focus on budgeting, cost accounting, and reporting in a hospital setting
- Experience creating budgets for an entire hospital; not just one department
- Experience analyzing entities such as Physician Network, ACO, and Foundations to create a consolidated budget from all the departments, etc.
- Experience with Performa analysis (new service lines, new acquisition, providers/physicians etc., profitability analysis)
- Demonstrated proficiency in creating reports with financial software and tools, including accounting systems (experience with Strata, Net suite, or similar systems is highly desired)
- Experience with revenue cycle management and compliance in a hospital environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
