Job Summary

The State of Vermont is seeking a skilled Inventory Management Specialist to manage and maintain the inventory and stockrooms for the southwest region of the AOT Fleet. This role is responsible for ordering, receiving, and issuing parts, materials, and supplies from vendors in accordance with Bulletin 3.5. The successful candidate will maintain a computerized inventory and ensure that all necessary supplies are available for maintenance and repair of vehicles, equipment, and shop tools.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage and maintain inventory and stockrooms for the southwest region of the AOT Fleet
* Order, receive, and issue parts, materials, and supplies from vendors in accordance with Bulletin 3.5
* Maintain a computerized inventory and ensure that all necessary supplies are available for maintenance and repair of vehicles, equipment, and shop tools
* Assist in managing safety at the facilities, including ensuring that current SDS sheets are available and conducting inspections of fire extinguishers
* Operate a forklift and front-end loader as needed

Requirements

* Two or more years of experience in inventory, automotive maintenance, or a related field
* Automotive vocational coursework or equivalent experience
* Experience with computers and ability to learn new programs
* Current valid driver's license
