Project Manager

The Project Manager at Hensel Phelps is responsible for the safe completion of projects within budget, on schedule, and to the company's quality standards. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure safety is properly incorporated into job planning and execution
• Promote accountability among staff members and trade partners as it relates to project safety policies
• Enforce safety policies by actively participating in all safety-related functions
• Manage pre-job planning activities and coordinate the mobilization effort and start-up activities
• Coordinate the procurement of trade partners and vendors
• Deploy technology and other resources as defined in the Book of 14
• Manage job purchasing and contracting in collaboration with the Estimating department and project team
• Maintain open communications with all project stakeholders and work to resolve issues in a collaborative and efficient manner
• Monitor project costs and schedule progress, and initiate course corrections as necessary
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar field
• Minimum of five to ten years commercial design-build project management or construction management experience
• Valid Driver's License
• Solid problem-solving skills
• Exhibits consistent and competent judgement
• Ability to work independently and with other team members
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• High attention to detail while working under deadlines and managing multiple priorities
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office skills, Primavera P6 or Asta, Prolog, and Bluebeam
• Ability to strategically allocate resources and effectively manage assets
• Proven management capabilities, including delegating tasks and motivating direct reports
Preferred Qualifications:
• OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 certification
