Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EPC Electrical Superintendent to join our team at Kiewit Corporation. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of electrical installation on large-scale solar farm and power plant EPC construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage and direct project teams to ensure project goals and objectives are met, including defining project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Engineering and Construction: Oversee the output from engineering, constructability, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams from detail design through commission and start-up.
  • Quality Control: Establish project procedures consistent with contractual documents and quality plans for all engineering work, and determine and oversee all project controls, schedules, and budgets.
  • Client Representation: Serve as project representative with clients, constructors, subcontractors, and vendors at kick-off meetings, job walks, project reviews, and other meetings and correspondence.
  • Training and Compliance: Coordinate training and compliance measures to ensure project procedures are followed, and identify and secure necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget, and/or schedule.
  • Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with clients, making adjustments as necessary to comply with client needs within contractual obligations, or adjust project deliverables to meet client and Kiewit needs.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all work products are consistent with industry standards and in accordance with good engineering practice and applicable codes, and in compliance with all pertinent legal codes and requirements.
  • Employee Development: Provide ongoing training and mentoring to entry and mid-level engineers to promote employee development.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years' work experience in a power or related market, with a strong background in electrical construction and project management.
  • Skills: Competent in the use of computer software applications used for project control and administration, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings, and other documents.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performance, and a strong understanding of the National Electric Code (NEC).
  • Relocation: Must be willing to relocate and/or travel as required.
