Role Summary

The Plant Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Supervisor to manage the machinery, equipment, tools, and materials essential for receiving, treating, and packaging high-quality seed. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the processes of receiving, harvesting, drying, bulk management, conditioning, treating, packaging, and maintenance to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Leading by example to cultivate a culture of safety while enhancing quality and productivity within the designated area.
  • Ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulations to minimize workplace injuries.
  • Identifying and addressing potential hazards within the department, facilitating immediate corrective actions for worker safety.
  • Providing clear instructions for the safe operation of equipment and associated tasks.
  • Reporting accidents, incidents, near misses, and hazardous observations to management promptly.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment while adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Assisting in the onboarding process for new employees and ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures.
  • Networking with other supervisors and coordinators to optimize workflow and resource coordination across departments.
  • Ensuring that internal controls are maintained and that products meet all quality standards.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Exhibiting excellent attendance to support company objectives.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management.

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in plant operations is required.
  • Proficient English communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Solid understanding of the fundamental processes involved in plant operations.
  • Mathematical reasoning skills are necessary.
  • A comprehensive functional knowledge of plant operations is essential.
  • A state-specific pesticide applicator's license is required (if not currently licensed, this must be obtained within one year of hire).
