Role SummaryThe Plant Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Supervisor to ensure the effective management of machinery, equipment, tools, and materials necessary for receiving, treating, and packaging high-quality seed. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the processes of receiving, harvesting, drying, bulk management, conditioning, treating, packaging, and maintenance to fulfill customer requirements.
- Leading by example to cultivate a culture of safety, quality, and productivity within the assigned area.
- Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulations to minimize workplace injuries.
- Identify and address potential hazards in the work environment, facilitating immediate corrective actions.
- Provide clear instructions for the safe operation of equipment and related tasks.
- Promptly report any accidents, incidents, near misses, and hazardous observations to management.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
- Assist in onboarding new employees and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other supervisors and coordinators to streamline workflow and resource allocation across departments.
- Ensure that internal controls are upheld and that products meet all quality standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Exhibit excellent attendance to support company objectives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Creative problem solver with strong organizational skills.
- Able to make sound decisions under pressure and manage high-stress situations effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate team members to achieve production goals.

- Experience in interpreting various forms of instructions, with 2 to 5 years in plant operations.
- Proficient in English communication (both verbal and written).
- Knowledgeable about the fundamentals of supervised processes.
- Mathematical reasoning skills are required.
- Possession of a state-specific pesticide applicator's license is necessary (if not currently licensed, this must be obtained within one year of hire).
