Position Overview:

The Amalgamated Sugar Company is in search of a Production Operations Supervisor who will be accountable for managing the daily functions of the sugar beet processing facility. This role emphasizes the importance of employee safety, the efficiency of production operations, and the maintenance of superior product quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily production activities to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Foster a safety-first culture and ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company protocols.
  • Participate actively in safety committee meetings and lead incident investigations.
  • Conduct daily briefings with management to discuss operational performance.
  • Develop and execute strategies aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Analyze production metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Guide and mentor a team of supervisors and production personnel.
  • Manage staffing levels and coordinate shift schedules effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and collaborate with quality control teams.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to guarantee optimal equipment functionality.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred, along with significant experience in manufacturing operations, particularly in a supervisory capacity. Candidates with a background in production management or continuous improvement within the sugar or food processing sectors will be given strong consideration. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
