Job Summary

At Lifetime Assistance, we are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Specialist to join our team. As a Behavioral Specialist, you will provide psychological services to our Day Services participants, including consultation and clinical supervision. You will also serve as an Interdisciplinary Team (IT) member, ensuring compliance with all applicable program standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Psychological Assessments on all program participants as needed and assigned, following the format established by the Program.
  • Assist in the development of objectives and outcomes to address psychological problems or needs and to maximize assets or strengths for inclusion in the individuals' habilitation plan in collaboration with relevant IT members.
  • Provide or assure psychological services to achieve Day Hab objectives, including developing new or strengthening existing adaptive behaviors and modifying maladaptive behaviors to maximize intellectual, social, and emotional development and functioning.
  • Provide consultation to program participants, families, and other IT members, both directly and indirectly.
  • Serve as a role model for individuals, interacting with others in a way that will assist individuals in developing behaviors, skills, and attitudes necessary for successful community living.
  • Maintain a neat appearance, hygiene, and grooming, promoting positive behaviors and interactions with all individuals.
  • Participate in all Service Plan Reviews and Team Meetings as requested, fulfilling all record keeping and documentation requirements.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and perform all other duties relevant to the position, notifying the Community Integration Coordinator of obstacles to achieving responsibilities.
Qualification Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) with a master's degree from an accredited program in a field of psychology and at least one year of experience in the assessment of the developmentally disabled individual and development of behavioral programs for the developmentally disabled. You may also be required to meet LAI's Vehicle Operator Requirements.
