About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a KARE Center Staff member. As a key member of our crisis stabilization services, you will play a vital role in providing a supportive and respectful environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement daily operations of the KARE Center, ensuring a positive and comprehensive experience for residents.
  • Participate in the intake process, gathering required data and orienting residents to center expectations.
  • Provide positive feedback and respect to residents, employing preventive teaching methods to avoid conflicts.
  • Admit residents referred to the KARE Center, completing associated paperwork and documenting clinical information.
  • Monitor resident medical and emotional status, arranging emergency care when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Program Manager, including answering house phones and responding to crisis hotline calls.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with AODA/Mental Health population a plus.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with good driving record.
  • Ability to maintain records and document case notes daily.
  • Willingness to learn and work with treatment philosophies.
