Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Job Summary:
Grace Pacific Corp is seeking a highly motivated and organized Customer Service Representative to join our team at the GPRS Kona Branch. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate revenues in Sales & Rentals for the GPRS Kona Branch
  • Create, implement, and maintain sales call plans for existing, potential, and "cold" customers
  • Coordinate marketing plans and product specials for accounts
  • Provide price quotes and sales support
  • Inform customers of supply and price trends
  • Coordinate sales orders and deliveries
  • Prepare records and reports of sales and supporting activities
  • Maintain and build positive customer relationships
  • Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections of facilities and job sites
  • Fulfill customer orders, including taking materials from the warehouse area and loading customer vehicles

Requirements:
  • Valid Hawaii driver's license and favorable driver history record
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills to multitask effectively
  • Ability to work independently, complete tasks in a timely manner, and meet sales expectations and deadlines
  • Relevant experience in a similar operation, such as equipment rental, sales/retail environment, civil construction, government agency related to road work, and/or safety

Working Conditions:
  • Reports to the air-conditioned administrative office of the base yard
  • Ability to work in warehouse conditions
  • Branch normal operation hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm
  • Must be available after hours, nights, and weekends to facilitate customer service and industry trade events
  • Ability to work on various construction job sites, including live traffic conditions

Equipment Use:
  • Ability to safely operate a 10,000 GVW company pickup on a daily basis
  • Ability to safely operate an LPG forklift to facilitate customer pick-ups and deliveries
  • Ability to set up, program, troubleshoot, operate, and train others on message boards, arrow boards, light towers, compressors, and other towable equipment

Mental and Physical Demands:
  • Able to lift 50 pounds regularly and climb ladders
  • Able to work under pressure or in a deadline-driven environment
  • Able to multitask
  • Proficient in math and able to calculate on a consistent basis

Communication Demands:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure effective internal and external communications
  • Must be able to communicate orally, electronically, and in writing with all levels of management, both internally and externally
  • Must be able to communicate orally, electronically, and in writing with customers, clients, and vendors
  • Able to conduct presentations with clients, employees, and other members of management in group settings
