Job Title: Network Engineer

At EKHP Consulting LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining our network and IoT devices, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor network and traffic devices using software tools and troubleshoot issues related to service degradation.
  • Classify and prioritize incidents related to managed devices and meet SLA/SLO requirements for response, restore, and notification time.
  • Help troubleshoot and maintain traffic, network, and security tools, and maintain complete detail of issues in ticketing systems.
  • Handle engagements with external vendors and districts, and handle ACD calls from customers and vendors.
  • Escalate incidents to appropriate personnel for further troubleshooting if unable to resolve.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years' experience in IT, with a focus on network operations and IoT device management.
  • Troubleshooting knowledge of Cisco routers and switches, and network monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds.
  • Working experience with Enterprise-level ticketing systems such as Service Now, and an understanding of how to ensure ticket-level SLA/SLO compliance.
  • Network certifications (Network+, CCNA) or equivalent knowledge.
  • Ability to interpret information collected by network tools, and knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with traffic devices, such as Dynamic Message Signs, Portable Variable Message Signs, and Closed Circuit Television.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles, and ability to work with provided set policies and implement network and security configurations.
  • Ability to deploy and update device rule sets to traffic, security, and network standards.
